In the end, he is successful and able to achieve his goals he has set for himself in his life. Mark's story gives personal insights into the political and social situation of West Germany in the Seventies and Eighties and also into the circumstances surrounding his personal and professional career in Canada. His life in his chosen new field takes twists and turns which nobody could have ever expected.Finally, he reaches his goals on his pursuit of happiness.
