My intention in writing this book has been to show that there is a lie that has been written on the hearts of humanity ever since Adam took leave of the presence of God. This lie obscures the very thing we want most – the Life of the Spirit.
The way to this life is a narrow, less crowded road - and few find it. Yet it awaits us all.
I have deliberately written in a way that is more conversational than instructional. My intention in this conversation is not to tell you how to think or believe; only you can do that. Rather, I have described a foundational premise that underpins our thinking and influences every aspect of our Christianity. It is the same premise that has caused Adam (and all his offspring since), to misunderstand the heart of God.
We exchanged the truth of God for a man-made lie and we don’t even know it… but Jesus came to remove the lie - and give us himself in its place.
