The Log

The narrator , standing alongside one of her friends , suddenly sees a log down the chimney and start igniting the room. However, he managed to stop the fire and said that the fall of this log recalls her painful memories , which was the source of his hatred of marriage. Young , he had to a best friend named Julien . When one married , the narrator , despite his initial fears and timidity , remained tied with the couple. One evening Julien entrusted on an idea of his wife , caring lady to occupy a few hours work outside the caller.
