This book is going to be very different from the other ones that I have written. Most of my books are about how to use magick to change various aspects of your life. This one is going to be different, this one is going to discuss the inner thinking all magickians should cultivate. We will learn what the ultimate outcome of magick really is, and is, for most people who take it deeper. When I started magick I was looking for empowerment and many people who do use magick are looking for empowerment, they're looking for a way to feel empowered in the face of what might be perceived as a lack of power or extreme vulnerability. There's nothing wrong with that, magick will give that to you and it is very effective but it doesn't end there. Magick is also a tool of transformation, it's not only about getting what you want, it's not only about winning the lottery, it's not about finding your soulmate, it's not about crushing your enemies, at least it's not only about that. I noticed in my own life, when I first started with magick, I used it for all of these things and I still do, but I realized it isn't only about that.
In this book I'm going to deal with what magick is, I'm going to go into why magick works when you actually perform a ritual, of course it does involve spirits and it does involve supernatural powers but there is another reason. If you notice that the more intention you have towards the ritual, the more effective it is, so there is an individual component in every single ritual. In many ways Aliester Crowley was right to say "Do What though wilt shall be be whole of the law" but I'm going to say, yes unabashed individualism is fine, but it's unabashed individualism within the collective and we have to remember that. No man is an island and those who persecute you are also part of you.
We will discuss individuality, embracing of the dark side, being present in life. We will discuss how formality in magick is actually destroying it and making it harder for people to perform it. We discuss the dangers of making magick a form of escapism and of self-aggrandizement. You will learn about embracing your individuality. You will also learn how group consciousness affects your magick.** I will also get a bit more personal about some of my own life experiences** .With that, let us begin.
