The Night Visitor

As 10-year-old Arthur Crabtree helps clean up Beanie’s Café, he hears strange sounds. When he tells his parents, the sounds stop. So of course they think his imagination has run away with him. It would appear then, that the sounds – which resemble the cries of Orca whales – are only for Arthur’s ears. Unsure of what to do, he seeks the help of Julia Simpson, his classmate. They’re not exactly the best of friends, more like enemies actually. But since she’s known as 'Detective Julia', Arthur thinks it would be good to have her on his side. And so one night, under the veil of darkness, the two sleuths enter Beanie’s. Flashlights in hand, they search until they come across the very thing that has been making the unusual sounds. And it’s unlike anything Arthur could ever have imagined…
