I was very tired because of I have traveled for two days. I stayed in Atlanta and preferred to rent an apartment in a local hotel. It was the most abominable hotel that I’ve ever been. I’ve got a room on the ground floor and a night-clerk gave me a pair of candles. Rather than look for better quarters I lay down on the mattress without removing my clothing and fell asleep. I awoke in the middle of the night. I saw in the light of the moon that the floor of my room was occupied by at least a dozen of strangers! They were dead… What happened next?
