Rory was alone in the world, and liked it that way. She didn't trust people, having been betrayed too many times at all too young an age. Now she was a novice prosecutor for the Public Prosecution Service in Belfast and showing herself to be merciless with those who broke the law. All that changed in the blink of an eye when she was killed by feral vampires. Only, she didn't quite die. Waking on a private aircraft on its way to America, she meets Lord, a Master vampire who has decided her lithe young body and beautiful face were worthy of preserving. Besides, he needed a good lawyer. It took some time to believe it. Her ability to put her fist through walls was convincing evidence, though, and if it hadn't been, the impossible waves of scalding pleasure Lord sends through her seemingly at will would be. Rory's introduction to the supernatural begins with obedience and discipline, to a vampire she comes to realize is weak and somewhat cowardly. Lord is trying to drown her in pleasure to make her his docile pleasure toy. Rory has never been the docile type, but soon, as she learns to master her strength, she'll be noticed by those of much greater power – able to give her much greater pleasure – and require much more from her in return.
