The year is 1938 and the world is ready for war. Nations are aligning with the allies or the axis. Although they are outnumbered ten thousand to one and must stay hidden, the magical communities on both sides are determined to do their bit. Drawn into this conflict by a series of unfortunate events a normal human must learn how to live with magic and fight the good fight to prevent the forces of the axis gaining a magical advantage over the allies. An advantage that could not only change the outcome of the war but determine the future of the world.

The Blank Magic stories are written in the tradition of golden age science fiction and fantasy where you could come across anything from pure horror to steamy romance; often in the same book. One thing, however, was essential, a sense of imagination.
The books contain elements of adventure, mystery, crime, romance and, of course, magic. They centre around a small cast of characters, both normal and magical, who populate the fringes where the normal and magical worlds meet.

The Phoenix is the first book in the series and is about 111,000 words in length
