Tyler Burkett, 49 year old retired U. S. Air Force after 30 years of service, lives on Siesta Key, Sarasota, Florida. His experience in Military Intelligence included several cases working with the FBI and CIA. He wrote two fiction novels based on his roles with both agencies. He had started on his third fiction novel about a U.S. Senator kidnapped in Washington D. C., when he got a phone call from Morgan Stafford, wife of brilliant engineer Jack Stafford, employed by the U.S. Government on top secret projects. She received a note in her mail box that her husband had been taken and for her not to notify the police. Burkett agrees to go to her house and advise her what to do. Morgan tells him his publisher, Sherry Righteous, said he might have some helpful ideas. Burkett takes his friend, Detective Bob Gateman of the Sarasota County Sheriff, with him. Conversation with Morgan Stafford reveals her husband flies his own airplane home on week ends from Quantico, Virginia, to the Sarasota-Bradenton Airport. Burkett sends Gateman to the airport to see if Stafford's plane had landed. It did. Burkett contacts FBI friend, Mike Stryker to find out what project Stafford is working on. Stryker flies to Sarasota and meets with Burkett to show him the plans for a special Predator Drone that is top secret. They have six days to find Stafford to foil the plans of former Deputy Secretary of Defense, Joe Higgins, who spends almost two years developing a plan to kill President Sott, the man he hates with vegeance.
