No one told Adelia Kinder she was a carrier. She only knew her grandfather’s allegiance to a centuries old belief of the Animus Originem was the cause of their exile from Montego. Little did she know, the outlawed teachings of telepathy and bending control of the very land beneath her feet was real and the genetics behind their storied powers lived in her veins. After her true abilities were revealed, it didn’t take Adelia long to realize that her “gift” was more dangerous than she expected. Especially after she was summoned from within a dream to destroy a deadly program guarded in the very city that exiled her family.

Life was always hard in Tacita, but Adelia always found solace in Quinn Bellamy’s friendship. After his disappearance, and presumed death at the hands of border wardens, Adelia’s world was broken. She wrapped the darkened pain of his disappearance like armor around her heart, but was never prepared to have him reappear in her life. Quinn was not the person Adelia remembered and she was forced to choose between trusting the boy from her past or the man that stood before her now.

Together, they must find a way to work past what divides them to successfully infiltrate Montego before it is too late.
