What happens when we die?
In the original Principle of Gift work we established a purpose for the universe and identified a guiding fundamental within which that universe operates. Man was a creative being and creativity itself the critical factor in the universe's functioning.
Whilst the concept of Man acting creatively in line with universal principles serves as a useful rule of thumb for the individual, it doesn't in itself make that individual anything more than a handy, but disposable, pawn in a grand universal game. We serve the purpose of the universal system whilst we are alive, but any personal benefits are obliterated upon our deaths.
For us to remain in the game we would need to be able to survive death somehow.
