After a tragic childhood illness left Princess Amira bereft of her hearing, she spent five years living with the Elves of the Enchanted Wood. There, she learned to speak with her hands and also gained the knowledge of an Elvin healer—eventually earning the tell-tale mark of a four-pointed star upon her brow. Returning to her kingdom as a regal princess, she lived a dual life as the poised and majestic princess at her father’s side as well as the village healer tromping around in rags.
Her life is thrown into turmoil when the neighboring kingdom, with whom they have been feuding for hundreds of years, offers a marriage proposal to Amira. Torn between the happy dual life she enjoys in her land and the impending war that will surely ensue if she does not marry her enemy kingdom’s only son, Amira must find a way to put aside ingrained prejudices and bring two nations together.
Throughout this struggle, strange occurrences begin to beset Amira. Always lurking near her in the shadows is the mysterious figure who only appears as a flash of silver. Dormant powers begin awakening within the princess when a plague threatens to wipe out those she loves.
