In days of old, when knights were bold... and let's be honest, clanking around the place in metal underwear is hardly the sort of thing for a shrinking violet... well naturally these old, bold knights needed some way to pay for fuel for their sturdy steed, to say nothing of a regular supply of WD40 to prevent their joints seizing up. Fortunately there was still a ready supply of dragons around too. And since some of those dragons had the bad manners to burn crops and eat virgins, the whole race got a bad name.
