A family move into an old cottage in Wales to discover that they are actually living with a resident spirit; the ghost of a man that was killed in a battle between the Welsh and the English.  Robert, a property agent, buys the cottage for his retirement, not telling his family about the ghost; because he doesn’t believe in ghosts.  Daughter, Harriet, after experiencing a cold feeling across the top of her foot whilst inside the cottage with her mother, decides to loan a book from the village library on the subject of ghosts, and then later comes across a rather interesting newspaper article.  During the adventure, Harriet meets up with a Welsh boy called Aled, resulting in the need for a Welsh ‘phrase book’ and then meets his sister, Felicity, for extra company.
