Who would have thought that after sixty-five years of independence, a common man would shake and awake the country and its political system. The past two years saw millions of people come out on streets to fight against the biggest evil of our country “corruption”. The Janlokpal Movement was a call to all the politicians of India to listen to the common man's plea. Anna Hazare and his team with Arvind Kejriwal tried every single way possible to plead their cause to the government from peaceful protesting to courting arrest, indefinite fasting and several rounds of negotiations. No stone was left unturned to convince the government to form a strong anti-corruption law. But despite the huge wave of public support in favor of a strong anti-corruption law, no political party was ready to bring under scrutiny every public officer serving under Jonlokpal's radar.

The Mentor and Disciple both stood for their idealism and determination in fight for an anti-corruption law. However there were tough times ahead with mentor Anna Hazare wanting to tread the path by social activism and disciple Arvind wanting to gain political power to bring about actual change in the system. On having attempted the path of peaceful fasts and protests, Arvind decided to take action and plunged into active politics with his newly formed Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Arvind strongly believed that most political parties are corrupt, greedy and thick skinned, and he advocated that the time had come to bring political power back into the people's hands.

This is the story of a common man Arvind Kejriwal, who stood against all odds and inspired the people of this country to stand for their rights, shook the existing political system and surprised the world. He set an example that anything is possible if the intention is good. The world wanting to know who is he, what prompted him, how frustrated he was, who supported him, who criticized him, what he faced to reach this stage. This book will give you an insight into the man, his movement and his newly formed Aam Aadmi (common man) Party and how he completely took over the TV Screens of the nations for nearly four months and also became the hot topic worldwide and become centre point of discussion at World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meet in Davos, Switzerland.

“Will learn from AAP, involve common man more in Congress”

- Rahul Gandhi, Congress vice-president

"If Arvind does something different in politics, it will be a lesson for people in politics, not a sin to enter politics."

Anna Hazare, Social Activist

“Arvind Kejriwal has shown the right intent. Now people have to wait and see if he can deliver on his promises”

Manohar Parrikar, Goa Chief Minister & IIT alumnus

"Elected government which practises and promotes anarchy ought to be dismissed by the President of India

without further loss of time!,"

Kiran Bedi, Ex IPS and Member Team Anna

“Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal’s style of governance will damage “whatever good is still left” in the administrative system,”

Narendra Modi, Chief Minister of Gujrat

“Arvind Kejriwal is an Indian of the year 2013 for strengthening the foundation of our society and has helped build Brand India in the process.”
