A Woman on a Mission
Professor Kamilah Reston has a problem.  The Board of Regents at the prestigious Fort Worth University wants to terminate the African American Studies program due to low enrollment.  Her task is to increase enrollment enough to justify that she can keep her job. Seems like a pretty big task.  That is until her grandmother announces that she’s part of a spiritual gift.  What else can go wrong in a divorced professor’s practical life?
Quite a lot, she soon discovers.  After taking advice to give lectures about Black history to spark community interest in her program, Kami learns that her first obstacle is the chairman of a local youth program.  If she can convince him to give her a spot on the already crowded program, it could be the answer she’s been looking for.  But what she wasn’t looking for was a sexy, arrogant man who just happened to be a piece of eye candy!
Oliver Sullivan, a divorced single dad, thought he was just doing his friends a favor by agreeing to speak to the professor.  He wasn’t expecting a sexy woman, who was as passionate about history as he was.  It was more than his cold heart could take.  Instantly, he begins to plot ways to spend more time with her.
As their dating life starts to overshadow her speaking engagements, Oliver is too far gone to do anything but be happy for the first time in a long time. When Kami’s quest to exonerate a Civil War soldier branded a coward, Oliver helps her find the crucial information needed.
Kami feels that it’s time to tell Oliver about her gift.  When Oliver is less than receptive, Kami is faced with the reality that he really doesn’t love her.  It’s almost more than she can handle.  Once she’s completed her spiritual task she ready to face him and tell him where to get off.  But Oliver shows up begging forgiveness.
Can two practical people accept the challenge of a spiritual world?
