Lisa Donovan assigns Jason Grant, the token black employee in her talent agency, to chaperon Missy McGuire, a film star past her prime, during her Los Angeles stay. Missy has just acted in an interracial film and is in the city for a photo shoot. Lisa invites Jason to dine with Missy and her the same evening.
Jason checks up Missy’s biography and notices that she quit Hollywood at the height of her career. He requests a black friend to investigate. They manage to get some compromising Polaroid shots of Missy with Jackson Coots, a black boxer.
After dinner with the two white women, Lisa requests Jason to drop Missy at her hotel.
On the drive to the hotel, Jason informs Missy that he has the photos of her with Jackson. Missy asks Jason to stop the car and gets out. Jason follows her. Eventually she cools down and the two sit on a bench when she tells Jason how she met Jackson and about her affair with the black boxer. She admits that she broke off the relationship under instructions from her Hollywood studio.
The conversation brings back old memories and Missy succumbs to Jason’s oral advances. They stop when they hear an approaching car.
Jason accompanies Missy to her hotel room when he hands over the photos to her. They make love and Jason spends the night with Missy.
