A great deal has been said and written upon the subject of spiritual power, and perhaps I can add nothing original upon the subject, but may help to stir up some pure minds by way of remembrance. —The opening line in Chapter 1.

The author makes a great point in opening this book. Without question, much has been said by many Christian authors concerning many different subjects, and doubtless much more has been said, whether right or wrong, since the publication of this book. In spite of this, Watson has proven himself to be a trusted voice for the word of God.

Without question, the church today could use more 'spiritual power,' and this book may serve as the catalyst to wake some of us up.
