Lo! Good reader!
Epidrae is a world of nine oceans and five continents,
Wherein chaos reigns o'er half a thousand warring nations!
This terrible conflict is but unique and complex!
For it all began with the Baeo Curse,
O, I swear, such a mysterious malignancy upon the accursed!
It turned almost every man into a shape-shifter,
The reason and means unjust left them bitter!

But now they could take the form of a kind of beast each,
From mighty dragons setting the very air afire to lowly geese afraid of pyres!
The culprits of this curse? 'Twas the oppressed and the weak,
Who forced the wrathful God to declare such a damning decree!
Upon their oppressors of supposedly unceasing ill-will,
And they in turn, these oppressed, were become prophets!
The Prophets, known as the Elietier, reformed the Baeo men o'er long aeons,
And the deeds of such proceedings are etched in songs!

But envy and spite always leads to rage,
And so it struck a prophet named Serratimuss Defales;
He pillaged the world in search of powerful artefacts,
That governed everything spiritual and mystical in the world;
He wanted to corrupt, chain and command every Baeo kingdom,
He gathered an army and laid waste to every nation;
But his legion fell and was driven away,
By the forces of the prophets and the accursed!
They thought they were victorious over evil desires,
Or were they?
For malice is the bane of men,
As malice resides in every one of them.

And from thereon in the Age of Discord unfolds a plot,
A scheming of the heart expertly wrought!
In this book we journey with characters once innocent,
As they delve deep into the mysteries of the occult,
To undertake journeys both spiritual and physical,
And partake in happenings that deviously unravel,
As the visceral world of beast men booms!
Come, o people, hearken this loon!
As grave doom cannot be impeded,
I hope these words are well heeded!
