Reggie St. Clair lives on an island located off the coast of Ireland. Born and raised there, the island life, along with those who live on it, are all he knows. And since the time period is in the late seventeen hundreds, it's a simple life lived on what most would see as paradise. But, since the town is the only one around and is a fishing village, they get their fair share of mainlanders. Most come and go, but some remain, and to those on the island, soon learn that these strangers come with baggage; such as goats. The islanders haven't a clue how to deal with such creatures, and the only one around that seems to like them is Reggie St. Clair's dog, Brownie, who comes up missing. Reggie, devastated, goes on a search that takes him around the island to places he knows well, and also locations legends are made from. Some magical, some mystical, and some the ruminants of what was left behind. Come, meet the people on the island of Tearsdale. Goatman Gus, Timberman Dan, and of course, the trees that leave, the wondering Willows.
