Love, Betrayal, Revenge – how far would you go?

As a young man, Mazher falls deeply in love with his beautiful second cousin, Farah. She returns the affection but after first encouraging him, her family turns against the relationship and forbid them to see other. He is severely beaten up and threatened by some members of the Community and told to stay away from Farah. Farah refuses to have anything to do with him because her parents have prohibited her. He marries another girl he does not love.
Mazher and his new wife go to New Zealand, but this woman turns out to be deceptive and unloving and they soon split.
Deeply hurt, Mazher struggles to get over the pain. He tries self-therapy through travels, meditation and work but fails, eventually slipping into melancholy. With nothing else to lose, Mazher is determined to take revenge on his assailants. With great care and in a dream, eventually succeeds in killing the three men who caused him such misery, he also arranges the deportation of another and ruins the reputation of the others. A dream? Mazher wakes up, only to find out all his enemies are dead?
With a convincing description of some tender and some vengeful emotions portrayed, you will feel like a character in the story.
The story concludes with Mazher pondering on his life and the gifts and talents given to him by God. It takes you on a mesmerising journey around the famous triangle of Fiji, Australia and New Zealand, and Asia. With unexpected twists, you will want to continue reading. The enigmatic, apparent juxtaposition of dream and reality is left cleverly open-ended giving the readers something to wander about.
