The mystery of who Jesus really was intrigues us; without a back story, the man, aged about 30 years-old, astonished the world of his day with his gospel words and ministry. What would his memoirs or autobiography reveal about his life and thoughts? The Way In adds color to his established roles as a priest, teacher, doctor and healer. Through writing his illuminating and poetic interpretation of Jesus’s story, author and poet W.C. Fipke radically expands Jesus’s experiences as a multilingual scholar, musical artist and poet, globetrotting sailor and adventurer, Olympic athlete, animal loving communicator and mind altering activist.

This book has three themes: the Songs of Jesus provide insight into his friendships, romances, family life, and inner journeys; the Saga of Jesus is a thrilling adventure with a man who loves words, laughter, and eye embraces with the colorful people he meets; and, finally, the Star of Jesus points the way to his spiritual destiny as a religious leader.

Fipke presents a historically accurate, imaginative, and spellbinding portrayal of the good man Jesus. Readers with modern sensibilities will relate to the ideal Jesus pictured in these verses in their own striving to be better in today’s world.

W.C. Fipke was born in Ottawa, Ontario and raised in Western Canada. He earned B.A. and M.F.A. (Creative Writing and Theatre) degrees from the University of British Columbia and obtained a Certificate in Arts Administration from Harvard University. In his career he served as Director of Financial Programs in the Performing Arts for Alberta Culture, G.M. for the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton, and as President of Dia Met Minerals Ltd. He was President and Operator of Buck Lake Ranch Ltd. (until 2016). As a man of many hats, he has been a logger, carpenter, musician, writer, actor, director, producer, aerial photographer, pilot, administrator and financier, corporate executive, miner, rancher, snow boarder, scuba diver, builder and contractor. W.C. Fipke is married with four children and resides in Kelowna, B.C.

“It is utterly original and unlike anything else I’ve ever read. This lyrical epic will challenge the reader’s preconceptions about what a book can be and do.”
—Annabel Lyon, bestselling author of The Sweet Girl

“Masterly crafted, expertly written, truly a joy and inspiration to read—beautifully done.”
—Noll Derriksan, Grand Chief, Westbank First Nation

“An impressive imagining of a wandering Jesus... a song cycle, a mind expanding meditation, and a hero’s quest rolled into one dynamic vision.”
—Steven Miller, head writer CBC’s “The Romeo Section”

“An amazing journey of spiritual discovery… you can almost hear the music of a thousand cultures as a backdrop to this lyrical exploration for knowledge.”
—John Mitchell, award winning songwriter, composer and producer

“Fipke has melded that identity so that it comes to light slowly like a second sight and sixth sense in the man with a spirit and soul as wide as the lands and seas he voyages across.”
—George McWhirter, internationally acclaimed poet and novelist
