The Winter's Tale re-imagined as a wilderness survival story. It's 98% Shakespeare's original, with changes to the character names, a few scenes re-interpreted, and a bit of shape shifting thrown in. The story concerns two generations of a family, beginning darkly with a husband accusing his wife of adultery and sentencing their new-born child, which he believes to have been fathered by his friend, to death by abandonment in the wild. The child is rescued, however, and grows into a beautiful young woman. A love story ensues between her and a young man, which eventually reunites her with her real father. And her mother. In a magical way.
