Before I could respond my werewolf lover shed his clothes, squatted down, transformed and darted out the door. Transforming for me was still a little bit rough. I got the basics of it down quickly enough, but I was nowhere near as graceful as Jack. Where he just shrugged right out of his clothes, crouched down and ran off, I always forgot some piece of clothing, or stumbled over something. This time, it was my left sock. After taking a few moments to act as cool as possible pulling a sock off my paw with my teeth, I burst out into the woods after my lover.

The world was very different as a wolf. Even though the sun had started going down and there was a brown haze over the world, everything was bright and vivid to my canine eyes. The smallest differences in light were startling; I could tell the difference between hundreds of shades of green in the forest that my man-eyes would have just glazed over. The most amazing part though was the smell. Wooden areas that are an interesting amalgamation of smells as a human are absolutely mind-blowing as a wolf. Each plant has its own smell, each tree and each different sort of grass, all unique. I considered this as I blew through the greenery, but only in passing, as my main concern was to find Jack as fast as I could.
Not too far away, I heard a howl – forceful and wanting. I knew it was Jack. Just ahead of where I was, the trees thinned out and I saw him, lying in the clearing just like he had been the first time we did this. His muscular form was a revelation reclined in the middle of the grass. Forgetting myself, I bounded up to him and threw my considerable weight on top.

“Whoa! Easy there! Aren’t you forgetting something?” he asked.

Embarrassed, but only for a second, I stretched out and shifted back. Luckily, I was already on top of him when I became human again. As I opened my mouth to make an excuse, Jack interrupted me with his lips. His rough, ever-present stubble was delightfully rough against the soft skin of my face. I loved the way he felt underneath me, his strong arms around my waist and his warm mouth on mine. We both opened our eyes at the same time, and looked into each other for a long moment as our tongues intertwined and he pulled me tight to him. The dark brown of his eyes drew me in, and his delicious scent aroused me. The rustle of his body against the dark green of the forest floor reminded me that even though I was a human, something of the wolf’s senses remained in me.

As we kissed, Jack slid one of his strong mechanic’s hands up my back and lingered at the base of my head, teasing the short hair there with tickles of his fingers. He sent shivers that would have bristled hair if I were still a wolf, but as it was, a trail of goose bumps popped up down my back, and he kissed me deeply. There as we lay, the sounds of nature seemed to come alive around us. I was starting to feel the feral wolf come alive within me, and I clutched him to me, pressed my tongue deep into him and swirled it around. He moaned and writhed. I could tell that all of this was getting to him too – his wolf was waking up as mine had.
