“Amberly’s sad,” Sarah says to her husband Cole one day, and she’s not wrong. They could cheer up their girlfriend with cuddles and ice cream and kisses—but it’s so much more fun to use a collar and a leash and rules like “No talking allowed”, which is occasionally enforced with a gag.

After all, pets don’t talk. They crawl around the house on their hand and knees and obey every command their owners give them.
