Through My Eyes is a compilation of my ups and downs, joys and pains, innermost feelings and deepest thoughts. I hope that you will enjoy going on this emotional journey with me as I touch on various topics including love, money, gossip, and self worth. My poetry is a reflection of my life experiences. Some of my poems come from my humorous side, and some come from my spiritual side. There are even some that come from my raw and sensual side, but ALL of my poems come from the heart. ________________________________________________________________ Dionne Oakley was born and raised in St. Louis, Mo. After high school she obtained a license in cosmetology, but she has always held a passion for writing (and the arts). Now married and the mother of one beautiful daughter, Dionne is in her prime. Blessed with several gifts from the Almighty, her biggest talent seems for the moment to come in her poetic writings. She can easily put pen to paper and her message flows with a rhythm all its own. She has shared her poems with her church, family and friends. Now shes ready to share them with the world. Sample these and see if they are to your liking. I wouldnt be surprised if youll want more.
