Thus Spake Buddha

This book is a compilation of Buddha’s teachings depended on so many legendary authors. Undoubtedly this will help in nutshell to understand the philosophy of Gautam Buddha. This book is a brief life sketch, along with important events and teachings of Buddha so that sayings of Buddha are better understood and appreciated.

Gautam Buddha’s teachings have been enshrined in Pali texts, and Pali language is said to have been the lingua Franca of the then masses. Buddha preached his philosophy and teachings in the sort of language, which most of people generally understood, as opposed to Sanskrit, which was a monopoly of only handful of Brahmins. Numerous scholars from India, China, Asia and Western Countries have rendered a Yeomen’s service to humanity by translating the Buddhist scripture into various languages resulting in acceptance and spread of tenents and teachings of Buddhism. Additions, at later time, cannot be ruled out, hence deviation from original texts is a common possibility.
