When Cameron and his sister attend their cousin Celia's wedding, something very strange happens to Cameron when the lights suddenly dim. Candles appear out of nowhere and he finds himself attending a completely different wedding, where he is captivated by a certain woman in blue called Darcy, that he imagines he recognises from his very, very, distant past.

This time switch from one wedding to the other happens several times, whenever he is left at the table on his own. But when his sister mentions that Celia has inherited a beautiful embroidered table cloth that is around one hundred years old, Cameron takes a look at the cloth.  He wonders why he can remember Darcy embroidering it while it was still stretched over a wooden embroidery frame. He recalls too how she complained about all the tricky little love knots and compared them to their rather stormy relationship.

So who is this woman called Darcy and why does Cameron feel himself drawn towards her now? Can Cameron come to tems with existing in both  of these worlds, or will he have to choose one or the other? Or will someone else make the choice for him?
