The young Lord St. Maurice is in Palermo, carefree and wealthy. One evening he sees the beautiful Italian singer Adrienne Cartuccio. He falls instantly in love and plots to meet her. 25 years later, the Count is released from Prison. He travels to London seeking revenge and assistance from the Order of the White Hyacinth, a revolutionary group which has degenerated into a local drinking club.
