Too Close: Path to Euphoric Living with Adjoining Neighbors recounts the past living situations and experiences of the author in a search for suitable, maintenance free, reasonably priced housing in New Jersey unit relocating out of state. The ultimate goal in mind was the avoidance of purchasing a house and the ability for quick termination of the arrangement. The failure to realize there were more factors at play than realized with the potential of causing extreme unpleasantness and misery resulted in the multiple address changes and the seemingly constant state of always moving out or moving in.

Even with a past history that includes being a real estate agent, builder and living in several interesting locations during time in the military, he still overlooked or failed to recognize certain indicators of potential issues. Some were simple, or even known, some never heard of before. But one would never expect strangers to knock on the door and ask, “Can I use the bathroom?” or wake up to find the landlord doing laundry in the unit you’re renting. Moreover dealing with frustration of playing games or the run around with a condo board, home owners association or management company after closing.

Bottom line is many people have lost all sense of boundaries and common courtesy, some association don’t want to or make it difficult to do anything along with some locations not being ideal. Identifying and eliminating as many potential sources of annoyance and turmoil before committing to the new home is imperative for euphoric living.
