The best book about this subject is even better with the release of the third edition. All but one of the photos (84 of them) in this edition are in color. There's more solid advice about how to recover every deer shot with any type of firearm or archery equipment. Four new chapters have been added along with expansion of those in the original edition. One of the new chapters points out the potential dangers of wounded deer to hunters when they decide to attack and another new chapter provides advice about how to avoid losing your deer to a predator. This book is must reading for all deer hunters.

The 2nd edition of this book has been helping hunting recover deer for almost 30 years and this new edition should prove valuable for just as long. Every year, numerous hunters tell the author that information in the 2nd edition helped them recover deer they otherwise would not have found. That trend should continue with the expanded 3rd edition.
