Words to a writer are as exotic as spices to a gourmet cook. Writers savor the feel of the perfect verb. Writers work and rework sentences and paragraphs until each word feels right as it rolls off the tongue or the pen (or the computer). Consider yourself invited to turn the page and meet the writers who are about to entertain you. You will know them as they lead you on their adventures. They will coax you to remember a crazy character, will perhaps make you cry. And, just maybe, as they draw your rapt at-tention with their short stories, essays, and poetry, you will realize, Hey, I think I can write stories . . . I think I should join the AAUW Creative Writers group. Well wait for your call.
