The police have a problem trying to identify the body of a man, especially after he was mis-identified. Then DI Sinclair's girlfriend,Sarah, tells him about an old lady and a conman she had met on board a cruise. More old ladies also seem to have met conmen. The connecting factor is that the conmen - and the body - all have names with the initials JC. Then a bank manager is murdered but what is his connection? The police find surprises in some safety deposit boxes at the bank. As well as the action taking place in West Sussex, it also moves into Southampton and - of course - cruise ships.
