WINESBURG, OHIO is a series of interlinking stories set in the fictional Ohio town of Winesburg.  This psychological novel follows the life of George Willard as he grows up and his connection to the town fades.  As Willard's life becomes more complex, so do the stories surrounding him.  Little regarded by the general public when first published, WINESBURG, OHIO is now regarded as one of the greatest American novels of the 20th century.

Sherwood Anderson (1876-1941) was an influential American author whose works inspired a number of other important writers including William Faulkner, Ernest Hemingway, John Steinbeck, Ray Bradbury, and J.D. Salinger.  His best-known and most highly regarded work is WINESBURG, OHIO.
