Tapping a finger on the arm rest, Joel appeared as anxious as Ethan. Only Luke seemed calm and collected. His smile remained gentle.
“So, should we begin?” Luke asked.
I nodded. “Sure,” I said and held out my hand. “I need something valuable. Or...” I blushed. “Your hand.”
Luke offered his hand.
I grasped it slowly, marveling in how soft his skin was. How big compared to mine. Running a finger down the middle of his palm, I shivered. An image of a giant white wolf flashed through my mind and I jumped. Not something I was expecting to see.
“Something wrong,” Luke asked.
Joel stifled a chuckle and glanced at Ethan.
Eyes wide, I pulled my chair closer and shook my head. “Nothing. Just. Do you hunt?” I asked and took a deep breath.
Luke parted his mouth and raised an eyebrow as if he was contemplating something. “I do,” he said and stared. “What else do you see?”
