“Please Professor Scott,” I beg as I stare into his dark brown eyes. “You know I will do anything.”
As a new freshman in college, I could barely keep my head above water. There was so much pressure, and even with my scholarship, I could barely afford it. So when a D in history class jeopardizes my scholarship, I go to my professor for some extra credit.
After my first visit, I was so nervous about seeing him again, and I almost waited too late! Professor Scott makes his unhappiness apparent in class and directs me to come see him in his office before the end of the day. Once I arrive, I fear he’s no longer going to help me raise my grade and turn me away, but instead, he gives me a lesson I will not soon forget!
