本病是发于四肢长骨的长脓性疾病。其特点是好发于四肢长骨,局部胖肿,附筋着骨,推之不移动,痉痈沏骨,难溃、溃后脓水淋漓,难以收敛。本病可因患疔疮、疖肿以后由于治疗不当,体质虚弱,邪毒乘虚入里,留于筋骨;或因患麻疹、伤寒等热病后使全身及骨骼抵抗力降低则余毒内传,深入,留着于骨骼,使筋脉阻滞、气血不和,血凝毒聚而成。也可因外伤染毒或开放性骨折,骨骼损伤,邪毒直接侵入,同时淤血蕴热凝滞筋骨而引起本病。本病初起治疗宜清热解毒,行淤通络;后期宜清热解毒,调补气血。 附骨疽相当于西医学化脓性骨髓炎范畴。以儿童发病最多。
