These poems represent what I think people who interacted with Jesus might have said when questioned by those seeking to understand Him. I have used my imagination to tell a bit about these people's lives before and after meeting Him also. Some He healed, some He inspired, some rejected His message, some hated Him, some killed Him. Some of these people you will like, and some you will loathe. Some continued their humble lives, but with a shifted focus. Some went on to do great things to further the kingdom of God. What was it like to meet Jesus face to face? What was it like to have your whole worldview turned on its head? What was it like to match wits with the Son of God and lose? What was it like to literally have your life given back to you miraculously? And what was it like to go on living after such a momentous encounter? Jesus was and is the greatest force for change in the history of mankind. His life is permanently engraved upon history through art, literature, music, and the lives of those who have heeded His call through the centuries. He was the ultimate rebel with no respect for the status quo. He still is. His message is not complicated nor is it inaccessible to anyone. But those who encounter Him find out that simple does not mean easy in a world that behaves so contrary to His teachings. Included are a group of devotional poems. They represent the fruit of my meditations on the divine game-changer.
