Double for Your Trouble is a testimony of God’s faithfulness written to encourage youths, singles, young adults, and everyone that God is still in the business of visiting His children. The urge to share this testimony of how God intervened in my life was born in 2005 when some pastors heard my story and decided I should come to their churches to share it to encourage youths and singles. As individuals, we face diverse challenges in life. One would often think that all is well with my fellow brother/sister or that life has been a bed of roses until they tell you the challenges they are facing.
I have learned that letting go of the past and true forgiveness can open incredible doors for one. Also, as Christians we are quick to pray for God to kill all our enemies without consulting with the word of God. The Bible says enemies are our footstool. If God kills them, how would you get to the top? Leave vengeance to God. God said He would prepare a table before you in the presence of your enemies, a table with different kinds of blessings. The reason why that thing that you are pursuing has not gotten to you could be that God is preparing something better for you. In the same year, God blessed me with my own husband, gave us visa to relocate to the United States, and I became pregnant with our first baby. God calculated all my wasted years and paid me beyond my imagination.
Every individual needs self-assessment every now and then. We need to know who we are and the purpose for which God created us, and align it with our daily living. Serve God faithfully, and you will see God manifesting His faithfulness in your life.
It is my earnest prayer that, instead of shame, you will receive double honor; instead of disgrace, you will rejoice in your inheritance and you will inherit a double portion in your land; and everlasting joy will be yours, in Jesus’s name. Amen.
