Healing happens in every moment, in every cell and organ of our body. Loving, touching, and being touched with love, we heal. When we heal, our body relaxes and our life comes into balance. In healing, we discover our own truth, face our inner spirit, and we begin to know God. In this book, we examine the healing process: what we believe about healing, how we have healed our self and others, and how we can create healing in our body, our intimate relationships, our sexuality, and our life. You will discover what it takes to heal whatever ails you. You will look at what has helped you to heal and what has hindered your healing in the past. Through writing exercises and closed eye meditations, you will discover new ways to connect with your own healing presence within.
Healing happens, if and when we are receptive and allow healing to occur without interference from our mind in the form of judgments, resistance, denial of the moment and false expectations. When we acknowledge what appears to be happening and we accept the way it is, in the moment, the process of healing begins. Our incredible bodies have self-healing capacity. And our minds can either help or hinder the process. In this book, we take a deep look at how we have healed in our life, what currently needs healing and how to access healing right now, in this very moment.

Most of us have not learned to face life as it is. We develop faulty ideas about the way we think our life should be. And we become emotionally disturbed when things don't go the way we want and expect. Often, we have unrealistic and unfair expectations about the way other people should be, should feel, and should behave. Sometimes we are unrealistically optimistic about the potential of others, choosing to see them the way we would like them to be instead of truly seeing who they are, how they think and what reasoning has led to their current way of behaving. Sometimes we make comparisons between the way we live and the way others appear to be living.

When our life seems to be less than the way we perceive others' lives to be, we may become anxious and demanding and actually, through our own actions, sabotage whatever good we do have. If we harbor feelings of being an unfortunate victim, of having been irrevocably harmed, of believing that someone or something is unworthy of God's love, we eventually hurt ourself. No matter how much easier it seems to blame others for the way their attitudes and actions have affected us, in the end the only solution is to face our own self and to practice forgiveness. Forgiveness is not to please or heal others. Forgiveness heals our own life. No matter what has happened in the past, when we choose to forgive, our mind and our heart becomes more receptive to love.

And we not only need to forgive others. We also need to forgive ourself for all the ways we have failed to live up to our own expectations. We may think that blaming our self has no consequences but our body listens and hears everything we think and feel.

Our body, when healthy, functions like one big happy family. But when communication between our body cells breaks down, we become like a dysfunctional family, our individual organs starving for love and nourishment. The ignored body parts or organs may lay dormant, isolated and neglected for a long time, perhaps years and even decades. However, at some point, our organs will begin to seek attention, each organ fighting for control. In this book you have a chance to discover how your body been responding to your thoughts and feelings. And you will know what it will take for YOU to heal your body and your relationships through love. To further explore the healing potential of your senses, check out the next book in the series, Let All Your Senses Speak - As You Heal.
