I began my working life at the age of fifteen after I left the little village school where much of my early education was ruined by almost constant bullying.

I joined the Dorset County Council as an apprentice on the 5th April 1955. Apart from a year spent with a local Ford car main dealership, I worked for the County Council constantly until January 1991. I had by then reached the dizzy heights of Deputy Foreman.

I joined the Honourable Fraternity of Freemasons, which many people misunderstand, and was promptly made redundant. (No connection between the two events of course?)

Now with time on my hands and money in my pocket I decided to start writing. With two rather naughty fictional novels already written, a book of poetry, and many short stories to my credit, here is my first non-fiction book.

Someone has said, "They'll never believe it." But it is all true I swear it, unless you know different? Names have been changed to protect the innocent. Well all right and the guilty. I hope you find the book entertaining and enlightening.

'How We Spent Your Money'.
