Poetry is often turned to by depression sufferers. As a medium for expressing thoughts and feelings poetry is short and eloquent. It and reflect deep emotion, and act as an an outlet for the mind.

The author has been writing poetry for many years. Its wasn't until 2008 that anyone else ever saw the poems. They were just an outlet, something to express the inner person when there was no one else to listen. When my friends saw my poems, they wanted more. Some asked for specific poems, some I wrote in response to my own depression, some were inspired by other people and circumstances of their lives at the time.

I was surprised that people would tell me that they enjoyed my poems, and even more surprised that some said they found a kindred spirit in them, that they saw some of themselves and felt less alone. When people suggested I publishmy poems, I just laughed. But people kept saying they express depression succinctly, they express hope, and they make people feel less alone. With some pushing I am taking the plunge, exposing my poetry to the world.

This book is my mind. From the days when I FEEL FINE meant go away, to an inner happiness and a chance to reflect. Enjoy my poems, and may they help find your own inner peace.
