Molestation almost invariably takes place in secret, and most victims never speak to anyone about it. The pain is with them for life, and their functioning as human beings is usually negatively affected to some extent. There are those who would like to consult a therapist but for whom this is impossible due to the unavailability of a suitable person. Then there are those whose pain is so intense that they don’t have the courage to face it. The purpose of this book is to give such people the courage to do something about this matter, so that they may once again experience the ‘joy that comes in the morning’. This book is written in the form of a number of letters to an imaginary woman who, as a young girl, was molested by her grandfather. She lives in a small town and has no access to a suitable therapist. She and her therapist (the author) agree to undertake therapy by correspondence. In the last ten letters the sexual healing is discussed. Joy Comes in the Morning introduces the reader to a specific technique developed with great success by the author over a number of years. The book is thus also aimed at therapists who wish to develop their skills in this field.
