Not Another Travel Guide: High Octane -
Eight Days, Seven Nights, Four Thousand Miles -
CA-NV-UT-AZ - A Caffeinated Guide to California - Nevada - Utah - Arizona.
NATG: CaNvUtAz (possibly pronounced Can-vu-taz) is a wonderful, haul-butt overview of the desert Southwest. From the Golden Gate Bridge to the amazing Intaglios of Blythe, CA; Grand Canyon to Bisbee, AZ; Zion (UT) to Las Vegas, NV; and finally back through Yosemite and California to head home through Oregon before stopping again in Washington.
Prepare yourself for honest opinions, side trips, stumbles, bad weather, and a numb butt, because NATG: CaNvUtAz has all those and more. Or feel free to ignore the text and just enjoy the pictures. Or for the sadist, just read the text and ignore the pictures (author not responsible for self-inflicted injuries).
Not every vacation has to be a marathon at each location to see every last detail the travel guides tell you is a "Must See!" Because honestly? Sometimes you just need to see what all is out there, sampling a little in each spot, possibly even skipping some of the trays offered on the buffet line. Why waste your time at the salad bar when wonderful fried food is calling your name - and everyone knows you only have so much space to pack it all in. Lettuce? Seriously? Ha! Fried shrimp, chicken, fish, scallops and the dessert island? Now we're talking.
You don't have to be polite on every trip and hit every 'eleventh wonder of the world,' you're allowed to just go. I give you my permission - as if you needed it.
And this travel guide is an example of what you can see in just over a week.
So what are you waiting for - click 'buy' and see what you might be missing. (Scientific surveys have shown deeply intelligent and strong willed individuals prefer Not Another Travel Guides to all other forms of solicitous travel propaganda. Who else would tell you the Golden Gate Bridge is highly over-rated, but you can still avoid the traffic and parking problems by just paying your bridge toll on-line? See? You're smart enough to know this now and you haven't even finished the book description.)
Save your bottom the agony and see if this trip is for you before you invest more than a dollar and your time traveling the gauntlet of CaNvUtAz.
