Servant/Soldier is an inspirational look at dealing with the things that we all face every day. While we are called to emulate Christ and serve those in need and one another, we are also asked to be soldiers of God—to stand up and defend those who are not able to defend themselves. The words written here are my interpretation of God’s guiding word and based on my own experiences, successes, failings, and mistakes. It acknowledges that we are not perfect but strive toward perfection—that we all have to deal with doubt, fear, and uncertainty. I also would like to think that it leaves you filled with hope and the knowledge that you are not alone. That our relationship with God is not as fragile or as easily broken as we often fear. That it helps you see that we must not let the chaos of the world blind us to the beauty and blessings that are all around us. That it helps you understand that we cannot sit back and expect God to do it all—that we as Christians must step up to the plate and take our position on the front line against evil. I hope that it inspires you to study and share God’s word, to stand firm until the end, and to save as many as you can.
