A month-long storm has Snoqualmie Pass near Seattle chocked with snow. Snow slides are burying both east and west bound lanes. Traffic in both directions has been halted for hours. Two 12-foot wide snow blowers are working on a snow face 15-feet tall, a mile long, and still the snow falls. The operator powers down the machine. He has almost cut up a body in the blades. They can’t continue until the body is removed. The State passes the case over to Inspector Strong’s team.
Jones measure and sets a flag in the slide. He warns the blowers where to slow down and another body is removed before the blades find it.
The State says, “Clear the roadway, anyway. There are likely no more bodies.”
Back in Seattle neither the police or the FBI can ID the victims.
The Coroner says they were frozen to death, but near 200 degrees below zero.
Why dump the bodies in the mountains? Checking shows no flight plans any place because of the storm.
The two bodies are taken by force from the morgue, but Rage and Jones remove two of the intruders.
The Strong team must find a facility large enough for a man to fit in and can create 200 degrees below zero.
