A team of three scholars travel for their research work from Delhi to Mangalam, a thuruth (island) located on a coastal belt in the Alappuzha District of Kerala. He challenged the misrule of his time and was killed at the age of forty seven.To develop a research proposal for the Dark Age of India, the research team conducts a preliminary study of the local area. A relook on the untold history, they believe, will result in the empowerment of the majority, The Leftover.The story is narrated by a girl, who completed her MPhil degree from JNU.
