Beatrice Lind, called Beth, is a tiny girl with great powers. She is a twin, and her brother Douglas, called Doug, is only a few minutes older than her. Beth has the ability to see and hear the future. Her mother, Mary Lind, doesn't want to hear anything about it. "We have no witches or wizards in our family tree," she says. At school, all the children ask Beth how the weather will be on their birthdays and similar occasions. One day one of her friends ask her how the weather will be on May tenth. Beth with a smile was about to tell her, when she suddenly screamed out, "Not that day please, not that day." Then she crying run home as quickly as she could. Coming home, her mother wanted to know what had happened. Beth with tears still running down her cheeks said, "So many people will die, and there is nothing we can do about it." "Are you sure so many people will die? We can talk about it when dad comes home." said mother. "Dad will be twenty minutes late, he sits in his car, and the police have closed off half the street. But he is singing, I got a rise, I got a rise. When dad came home he wanted to know what it is that will happen on May tenth. A hurricane will leave Africa on the fifth, it will be huge, a category five or more. When this hurricane is five hours from landfall, A mountain on an island in the Atlantic will collapse. It will cause a tsunami that will race across the Atlantic ocean and have its landfall at the same time as the hurricane. The water will race so far inland that millions of peoples will die. And there is nothing we can do about it. I know that part of the government, an agent Laurence will help me to save as many people as possible. How did agent Laurence help, and could they help, and how?
