The book tells the tale of Malaysia's political economy, on how politics is deeply intertwined with the economy. The author backs his thesis that corruption, cronyism and abuse of power is crippling Malaysia's ability to compete in the global economy with facts and figures. His insights tells of how Malaysians can fulfill the country's potential and make a difference for the future generations. The author was elected as a Member of Parliament for Petaling Jaya Utara in March 2008. He's currently the National Publicity Secretary of the Democratic Action Party (DAP). Tony has played a leading role in exposing the scandals of the Barisan Nasional government. For proposing to improve the current housing discount scheeme for bumiputeras to better benefit the poor, Tony received a death threat in the form of an M-16 live bullet. For fighting political cronyism, he has been sued for defamation and for questioning the multi-billion ringgit deals by the Ministry of Defence, he was accused as being a foreign spy.
