I was searching for books that demonstrate the actual duties of a bartender and they were not there. When people see a bartender working at their job, what they see only scratches the surface of the bartender's duties. People do not see what happens before the establishment opens and after it closes, which is when a considerable part of the work occurs. Due to this and other reasons, there are an abundance of misconceptions about the job.

For those reasons, I became motivated to write this book using my 15 years of experience, knowledge, and skills. I wish to put an end to the misconceptions and portray the true image of this unique and exciting occupation.

If you are considering the purchase of this book and you are currently working as a bartender, there’s a good chance you will not learn anything more from this book. It's is for the person who is considering a career as a bartender and wishes to make an informed decision. In addition, a person about to begin a career as a bartender can benefit by preparing for the job using the information within this book.
